Karin Lee is a Canadian Academy Award (Gemini) winning filmmaker. She has directed films and videos, both fiction and documentaries about the effects of global displacement,Feminism and the Chinese Diaspora in North America. Her works have aired on CBC, CTV, VISION,
CANAL VIE, WTN, KNOWLEDGE NETWORK and VTV. Ms. Karin Lee been active as an filmmaker, media artist, community activist, independent curator, cultural organizer and writer for 20 years, since 1989 in Vancouver, Canada where she is based. Ms. Lee has served on various arts and cultural organization boards, committees and, teaches as a sessional instructor at Simon Fraser University in the Asia-Canada Program, Department of Humanities and the Department of History at UBC.
